Power Rankings 2007 Week 12
The power rankings for this site were developed in this article. The idea behind them is simple: if each team played one home game and one away game against every other team in the league, who would be the most successful?
The power rankings use logistic regression to predict the probability of winning. The score you see along with the rankings is the expected win total over a 16-game season based on the expected winning percentages over the 62 games (i.e. the sum of those probabilities).Power Rankings, Opponent-adjusted Rank Team Expected Wins 1 NE 11.2441 2 DAL 11.1332 3 IND 10.6209 4 PIT 9.9642 5 TB 9.9244 6 GB 9.3945 7 MIN 9.3234 8 PHI 9.0560 9 WAS 8.8586 10 NYG 8.7037 11 SEA 8.4958 12 SD 8.4589 13 JAX 8.3526 14 TEN 8.1060 15 DEN 8.0833 16 CLE 7.7783 17 DET 7.6137 18 ARI 7.6130 19 MIA 7.6014 20 HOU 7.5289 21 CIN 7.2008 22 ATL 7.1665 23 NO 6.9120 24 KC 6.9006 25 CAR 6.8935 26 BUF 6.8154 27 BAL 6.5092 28 CHI 6.4680 29 STL 6.2714 30 NYJ 5.7587 31 SF 5.6797 32 OAK 5.5694 Power Rankings, Unadjusted Rank Team Expected Wins 1 NE 11.3002 2 DAL 11.2019 3 PIT 10.7758 4 IND 10.3835 5 TB 9.9057 6 MIN 9.4825 7 GB 9.4620 8 SEA 9.0465 9 PHI 8.5803 10 JAX 8.4789 11 NYG 8.4063 12 WAS 8.2131 13 SD 8.1418 14 DEN 8.1411 15 TEN 8.0375 16 ARI 7.9962 17 DET 7.9144 18 HOU 7.8943 19 CLE 7.6587 20 CIN 7.2868 21 BAL 7.2055 22 NO 7.1142 23 ATL 7.0253 24 KC 6.9362 25 CAR 6.9291 26 MIA 6.8095 27 STL 6.3635 28 BUF 6.2475 29 OAK 5.9599 30 CHI 5.8376 31 SF 5.7099 32 NYJ 5.5542
